Frequently Asked Questions
๐๏ธ Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
Because perfume is a hygienic, liquid product, we enforce a strict safety policy. We accept returns within 14 days of purchase (or delivery) ONLY if the item is completely unopened, unused, and still factory-sealed in its original plastic wrap. If a bottle has been opened, unsealed, or sprayed even once, it cannot be returned or exchanged due to health and safety regulations.
How do I start a return, and when will I get my refund?
To start a return, please contact us with your order number and proof of purchase. Once we receive the bottle and verify that the factory cellophane seal is entirely unbroken, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method within 3 to 5 business days.
๐ฆ Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take, and what if my bottle arrives broken?
Standard shipping typically takes 3 to 5 business days. Because fragrances are housed in glass bottles, accidents can happen during transit. If your perfume arrives cracked, broken, or leaking, please take a photo immediately and contact our team within 48 hours of delivery. We will ship a brand-new replacement to you right away.
Can I change or cancel my order after it's placed?
We process orders quickly to get them to you as fast as possible. You can cancel or modify your order within 1 hour of purchase by contacting our support team. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be canceled, and our standard 14-day unopened return policy will apply.
๐ Authenticity & Quality
Are your fragrances 100% authentic?
Yes, absolutely. We source every single fragrance directly from authorized brand distributors or the perfume houses themselves. We have zero tolerance for counterfeits or fakes. Your trust and safety are our highest priorities.
Why does my new bottle smell a little different than my old one?
There are a couple of reasons for this. First, perfume houses occasionally update their formulas over time. Second, perfumes containing natural ingredients can vary slightly from batch to batch depending on that year's crop harvest. Finally, fresh bottles sometimes need to settle for a few days after being shaken up during postal transit.
Do you sell "testers"?
No, we do not sell tester bottles. All fragrances sold on our website are brand-new, retail-ready items in their original, factory-sealed consumer packaging. Testers in our retail stores are strictly for in-person sampling and are not for sale.
๐งช Fragrance Concentrations & Longevity
What is the difference between EDT, EDP, and Parfum?
The main difference is the percentage of pure fragrance oil mixed with alcohol. Higher oil concentrations generally mean a richer scent that lasts significantly longer on the skin:
-
Eau de Toilette (EDT): Contains 5% to 15% fragrance oil. It is lighter, refreshing, and typically lasts around 3 to 4 hours.
-
Eau de Parfum (EDP): Contains 15% to 20% fragrance oil. This is the most popular choice, offering a rich, intense scent profile that lasts 4 to 5+ hours.
-
Parfum / Extrait: Contains 20% to 30% fragrance oil. This is the most powerful, concentrated form, offering excellent depth and lasting 6 to 8+ hours.
How can I make my perfume last longer on my skin?
To get the absolute most out of your fragrance, try these three steps:
-
Moisturize First: Perfume evaporates quickly on dry skin. Apply an unscented lotion or petroleum jelly to your pulse points before spraying to lock the oils in.
-
Hit the Pulse Points: Spray where your blood vessels are closest to the skin (wrists, neck, and behind the knees). The natural body heat helps radiate the scent.
-
Don't Rub Your Wrists: Rubbing your wrists together after spraying creates friction that breaks down the delicate top notes of the fragrance, making it fade faster. Just spray and let it dry naturally.
Why can't I smell my perfume after a few hours, but other people can?
This is a very common phenomenon called olfactory fatigue (or scent blindness). When you wear the same fragrance often, or if it is sprayed close to your face, your brain eventually tunes it out so it doesn't overwhelm your senses. Just because you can no longer smell it doesn't mean it has fadedโpeople around you can likely still enjoy your scent trail!
How should I store my perfume bottles?
Keep your perfumes in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and sudden temperature shifts. Do not store them in the bathroom, as the steam and humidity from showers will rapidly degrade the fragrance oils inside the bottle.
๐ Designer vs. Niche vs. Arabic Perfumes
What is the difference between Designer and Niche perfumes?
-
Designer Perfumes: These are created by mainstream fashion houses (like Chanel, Dior, or Versace). They are designed to appeal to a wide, global audience, meaning they are usually smooth, crowd-pleasing, and highly versatile.
-
Niche Perfumes: These come from dedicated fragrance houses that only make perfume (like Creed, Amouage, or Parfums de Marly). They focus on artistic, unique scent profiles, use rare or artisanal ingredients, and are made for people who want to stand out from the crowd.
What makes Arabic Perfumes special?
Arabic perfumery has a rich, centuries-old history. These fragrances are famous for their incredible performance, intense depth, and heavy projection. They rely heavily on rich, warm notes like Oud (agarwood), dark amber, musk, saffron, and incense. If you are looking for a powerful fragrance that leaves a memorable trail and lasts all day and night, Arabic perfumes are unmatched.
โ๏ธ Travel & Shopping
Can I travel on an airplane with my perfume?
Yes, but it depends on the size of the bottle. If you are keeping the perfume in your carry-on bag, airline regulations state that liquids must be in containers of 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less. Full-sized bottles larger than 100ml must be packed securely in your checked luggage.
Are your perfumes vegan and cruelty-free?
Because we carry a wide variety of mainstream designer, niche, and traditional Arabic perfume houses, the ingredients vary by brand. Modern perfumery uses high-quality synthetic alternatives for historical animal-derived notes (like musk and ambergris). If you are looking for strictly vegan or certified cruelty-free brands, please reach out to our team and we will happily guide you.
My favorite perfume is out of stock. Can I be notified when it returns?
Yes! On the product page of any out-of-stock item, click the "Notify Me When Available" button and enter your email address. We will send you an automated alert the second it is back on our shelves.
